Moss Xmas Dinner + Update

Yesterday was our annual Moss Christmas dinner and Rosalynn's first road trip. We had to drive toAmy's house in Chattanooga. She did so great, she slept the whole way.  Our family is too big and spread out that it would be impossible to all get together on Christmas Day so we have our own "Christmas dinner" the weekend before Christmas. This year was a but different because we had an addition to our family....Rosalynn. Yesterday was the first time she met most of the family. Everybody was in love with her and wanted to hold her. We were there for about 5hrs and she did not get put down at all!! There was no need to worry about a bed lol. (Pics to come when uploaded) She even got some presents which wasn't expected and I'm so thankful for all that got her something. It's amazing how big the family is getting.

Rosalynn update....

She went to the doctors on Friday for her two month check up. I was excited about this visit to see how much she weighs and as grown but I wasn't looking forward to her getting the shots. I couldn't even stay in the room when she was getting them, Kevin had to be the strong parent. Hopefully I'll man up soon for the next time lol. According to the doctor she is doing great!! She is where she is suppose to be :) This momma must be doing something right.

Height- 23 3/4 (93%)
Weight- 11.7 lbs (65%)

This picture makes my heart melt. I love seeing her like this with her daddy. Gotta love lazy Sundays :)

Happy 2 Month Birthday Rozzie!!!!

I can't believe Rosalynn is 2 months already. Time is flying by and I am trying to soak up every minute of it. There are so many changes that are occurring, she is holding her head up longer and longer, she is smiling like crazy, and she is "talking up a storm." Who knew that baby coos would be so darn cute and entertaining. I'm not a morning person AT ALL but when I wake up and look over and see that little face smiling up me saying Good Morning I can't help but smile.

We don't have any stats on Rosalynn's weight or height yet but she has her 2 month check up next week so we'll them. I'm excited to see how much she has grown but not excited about her getting shots :(.

Christmas is only 19 days away and I finally ordered our first Christmas cards as a family!! Also we we have a new addition to the family....Joy our Elf on the Shelf :)

I'm sure when Rosalynn gets older she will change the name but till then she is Joy. I am excited to be starting new traditions for our little one. Kevin and I started one our first Christmas together in 2010 in which we go and pick out an ornaments together. They always end up being snowman because I'm obsessed. Rosalynn's first ornament is of course a snowman :)

Well I'm going to go enjoy my little one and do some tummy time. She is starting to get use to it but still gets fussy after 10 mins or so. Also she loves her toys and is starting to grab things. She also watches Bubble Guppies and Dora. She amazes me everyday.

Happy Thanksgiving

So we got through the first part of the Holidays!! It's fun and a little stressful when you have three different families to go to but we managed. This Thanksgiving was different then the others. First of all I appreciate my family so much more than I could have ever imaged. Second we had a little one I was able to dress up :) and third I had a big reason to be thankful.

Our day started of early!! Rosalynn decided to wake up at 6:30am and free feeding her and changing her diaper I was awake so I just stayed up and got ready. By 12 we were at my parents house waiting for family to come over. She finally met her great grandmother!!! That was wonderful to see.

We are then we left. I had to go home and nap because I was about to work a 12hr shift for Black Friday. I took about an he nap then we went to Kevin's family dinner. The family was so excited to meet Rosalynn that as soon as we pulled up we were met outside w family members ready to get their hands on her :) It felt wonderful just seeing how she just put smiles on their faces. She gave them a little taste of what she gives me everyday!

Family means everything to me and I love the fact that I have two wonderful families. How did I get so lucky. :)

Fall is here!!

Fall is here!!! I love Fall and everything that comes with it. The leaves changing, the cool weather, and of course the holidays!!! Fall in Georgia is beautiful and I am so thankful that i get to live in a place where there is 4 seasons and I get to enjoy them all.

This past weekend we went and got her a Christmas stocking and ornament. I can't believe Christmas is around the corner. 41 more days and it will be here!!! I am more excited about this Christmas then any other. I haven't started decorating yet. I'm most likely going to start decorating tomorrow. I can't wait to dress her up in her Christmas dress and onesie we got her. Pictures will def come.

Christmas music will soon commence in the Holden household and I know Kevin is going to be so excited (yeah right lol). The holidays are very important to me and its a time for family and enjoying them. This year is going to be even more special because we have a family of our own. We get to spoil out little girl and start new traditions with her and show her the old ones.

Giselle my bestie and her Godmother will be here on Thursday!! Can't wait and I know Rosalynn is excited :)

A little update:

Everyday that goes by Rosalynn does something new to make me fall in love with her. Lately she has this high pitch yelp that she does either when she is hungry and I'm taking to long with her bottle or when she is content. It makes me smile everything she does it. Also she sticks her tongue out when I talk to her lol it's so cute. She is starting to pay more attention to her surroundings and stares at Kevin and I more intently. She loves her daddy an always looks for him when she hears his voice. Also she is starting to stay awake more often so I need to incorporate tummy time and buy her some toys she can start looking at.

Leaving you guys with cute pics of Rosalynn.

Happy One Month Birthday Rosalynn!

Morning started off as usual, Rosalynn taking 30 mins of stretching and grunting to wake up and I making her bottle and coffee while watching Kelly and Michael Live. It took me a few minutes to realize what day today was. Not only is it the day after the elections in which the President got re-elected but it was my baby's one month old bday!!

I can't believe my baby is one month old today!!! This is crazy. Time is going by too fast and before I know it she'll be walking.  Everyday she looks bigger and fuller and just so happy!! Like I've said before she only cries when she is hungry or sleepy and for some reason cannot fall asleep without a little it of help from mom or dad. As I sit here writing this and staring at her sleeping so peacefully in her swing i can't believe I am lucky enough to be her mother. Everything about her is perfect and I'm sure every parent says that about their babies but she truly is perfect!!

This month has been a roller coaster of emotions and changes.  The day she came home and e week following that I was a wreck and over whelmed with those awful baby blues.  Thanks to my amazing husband, parents, and mommy friends I was able to push through and feel less anxious (as a mom you are ALWAYS anxious) and be able to be the mom I know I can be. Just looking at her makes all of my stress and problems go away. I can stare at her for hrs and just get lost in our own little world.

I wanted to post her measurements and stats but we don't have a doctors appointment till next month so that will have to wait.  I also wanted to post a few of my favorite things that I use as a new mommy this month but I have no idea how to do that lol. So that will be coming soon. Like always I will leave you with some cute pics of baby Rosalynn!

Time Flies

This blog is intended for me to just express myself and thoughts and document all of Rosalynn's moments. Also I might every once in a while put a list of all her favorite things and my favorite things that make mommy hood a little bit easier. Also many many pics!!

I'm sitting here drinking a cup of coffee and watching my little princess stir and fight her sleep in her swing. The noises that she makes are so darn cute. It's hard to believe that in two days she is going to be one month old!! It doesn't feel like that long. I remember going to the hospital and laying on that bed holding my husbands hand and us talking about how we can't believe she is coming like it was just yesterday.

It's true what they say...Time does fly by too fast.

She has already had her first holiday (Halloween). She slept for 5 hours straight last night! She recognizes her dads voice and when she hears him she moves her head to where his voice is coming from and she LOVES baths!! Only time she cries is when she is hungry or having a bad dream but besides that she is wonderful! Everyday I thank God for giving me such an amazing gift.

Entering Motherhood

The day I found out I was pregnant was the best and scariest day of my life. I couldn't believe it!! I took three test just to make sure and got a blood test just to double make sure. After the initial shock and the fact that my husband was beyond excited I was on cloud 9. I was going to become a mother.

When I was younger I always dreamed of being a mom...what little girl doesn't. The fact that it was actually happening and a baby was on its way was amazing. The next 9 months were the best, scariest, longest, and most wonderful months of my life.

There are a few highlights of being pregnant. One you can eat whatever you want :) Two the day you hear the baby's heart beat. Three the day you see her for the first time in a ultrasound. Four the day you find out the sex and last but not least the day she is born.

I remember that day all to well since it was only 3 weeks ago. I started having contractions the day before but didn't realize what they were so the next day I googled them and started timing them. My husband kept asking if he should go into work or not and I said yes well about 30 mins later I called saying come back home since the contractions were 5-6 mins apart. We went to the hospital and checked in at 8:18am and by 6:34pm she was here!!!

I'm starting this blog as a way to keep my family and friends in the loop as to what is going on in our lives and to document this wonderful thing called Motherhood!! I plan on documenting all of our important events and many many pics of Rosalynn!!
